Muqadimmah and Da'wah

Bismillahir Rahman nir Rahim

In the name of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful.

I seek refuge from any form of insincerity in my writing.

I was an avid blogger back in my late teens/early 20s. I stopped simply because I lost the point of it. Most of my ramblings were basically about my life and my perceptions. It was a good practice to vent out my thoughts and sometimes emotions on blog cuz I have 'too much' of it back then that I doubted no humanbeing could handle. But that was a phase of randomness, almost pointlessness and lots of vanity. And that's no longer the point/maqasid of any of my writing anymore in sha Allah.

So what's the point now? What is the whole point of starting a new blog?

Sharing.... that is the maqasid(purpose). To share what I know so that anybody can benefit. To not limit what I have come to understand just to my ownself. To uphold this call of Hadith..

(Riwayat Al-Bukhari)

'Sampaikanlah dariku walau satu ayat' doesn't mean that I have to be a syeikh or an imam or an ustaz for me to be able convey an ayat. This hadith doesn't just apply to the mualim, but also to everybody who can deliver them. Anybody be it a teacher, student, farmer, prime minister, children, homeless people, etc, can deliver an ayat provided that he knows what's he talking about and not forging lies on Rasulullah SAW(cuz the consequences are as mentioned in the last verse of the hadith, ie HELL!). I really think that this hadith motivates muslims to be brave to deliver The Message, so that we become a community that reminds each other, help each other to get closer to our Maker day by day. On the other hand, it also teaches us to shut up on things that we don't know about for fear of spreading falsehood. Things that are better left for the scholars to say, leave them to their rightful ahli. Don't try to be a smarty pants. But on things that we know, do deliver!

After much contemplation from Al-Quran and sirah nabawiyah, it can bring you to a certain conclusion, that this message doesn't just belong to you. It must be spread. If the revealation is indeed only limited to an individual, Prophet Muhammad SAW and the other anbiya didn't have to face so much hardship just for the reason of spreading it. He could just pray on his own in the Cave of Hira and left the makkans to their own devise. But he didn't leave them alone. He invited them to the truth. And he is entitled as Rasulullah ie Messenger of Allah. What's the job? He carried messages from Allah to his people. That's da'wah and there's no greater sunnah(practice) of Rasulullah SAW other than that. If we claim ourselves as the ummah of Rasulullah SAW and the one who's following his sunnah, the call to do da'wah must be taken heed.

Since I came to know the concept of halaqah/usrah/liqa', I fell in love with it right away. The idea of having a group of people sharing knowledge about Islam, discussing important issues, work on the betterment of understanding and practices of Islam is simply awesome. The best part of it is it's done in the most welcoming and non-jugdmental environment. From my experience, you never know what you're gonna get from usrah. I'm always amazed by how seemingly ordinary people can talk so awesomely and so thoughtfully about Islam. I guess my usrah mates aren't so ordinary after all. The idea of sharing knowledge which is at the heart of a halaqah is what I want to bring to this blog. Of course it can't beat the benefit of a two way conversation that a conventional halaqah provides , but hopefully a sound content that I try to present through this blog can be of relevance and benefits for the readers.

I pray that Allah SWT grant me sincerity, perseverance, and motivation to uphold His Deen in the best manner possible.

Assalamualaikum wmt wbr, The Peace is upon you :)
